Don’t miss your last opportunity to visit the exhibition 3Radicals. This exhibition features filmmakers and artists Paul Sharits, Robert Breer and Cameron Jamie. The exhibition illustrates, by means of film installations, animations and drawings, how the essence of film – light, sound and filmstrip – can lead to hallucinating art. The exhibition will close on Sunday March 2, but that’s the moment that – perhaps – you’ll be sleeping in from a late Night at the Museum…

Night of the Museum - Radical Lightning
Saturday March 1st, it’s time for the annual Rotterdam Night of the Museum. In the dark of the night, TENT radically opts for the light. Make your own light-drawings and allow yourself to be blinded by Sint Elmo! As part of the ’Museum Night 2008 Set a Light’, the artists’ collective PiPS:lab presents the Luma2solator. PiPS:lab has developed a technique that enables everyone to become an artist. Write or draw with light – make a spectacular piece, leave a tag or paint your nighttime impressions on the wall of TENT. Later you can view your composition on Internet. Expect a visual spectacle! PIPS:lab is a collective of young Dutch artists specialized in various disciplines. For this year’s Night of the Museum, Rotterdam artists Maurice Meewisse, Erik van Wesel and Jordy Walker have sifted through the vaults of TENT and retrieved every last bit of light. And so the light sculpture Sint Elmo was created. An unpredictable and dynamic light greets the public in the entrance hall of TENT.
