In the exhibition Utopian Dreams project designs for public spaces of Rotterdam are presented that were never carried out. Utopian plans: dream images for Rotterdam one might say. One of these plans was “a pasture with cows on the Schouwburgplein” from 1969 by Wim Gijzen. A title that already appeals to the imagination without a visual contribution. During the WIRED festival TENT invites you to dream about the future and opportunities for Rotterdam, focusing on the Schouwburgplein in particular. Can we come up with transforming ideas just like Wim Gijzen did? This workshop allows you to think about the present, the past but also the future of the city.
