On Sunday, Yoeri Guépin will bring you along on a tour to his  garden, adjacent to Rotterdam’s ring road. The ecological value of such places is often not recognised, which is why many of these biodiverse areas are threatened by urban development projects. During the tour, the artist introduces various ecological services of allotment gardens and their value as archives of biological and cultural diversity.

The tour starts with a presentation in TENT on the forms of ecological resistance, gardening on polluted land and the importance of allowing zones in the city to run wild. Afterwards, we depart by bike to Rotterdam’s oldest allotment garden association, Hof Van Noord. Following a route along a number of gardens in the city center, we reach the complex located right next to the highway.
