The exhibition Me, Myself and I showed the results of a collaboration between students from the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam and the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague.
The starting point for this project was the exhibition Who do you think you are?, which took place simultaneously in TENT. For two months the group immersed themselves in the subject of (cultural) identity.
The students collectively created new works that explore how we are together (ourselves), how we look at others, and how our visions of identity are shaped by the words we use. The makers wondered how language can generate communication and connection with others, but can also sow confusion and division.
Annual collaboration
Every year, TENT, the Royal Academy of Art The Hague and the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam jointly realise a two-month student project.
