Accompanied by loud drumrolls, the artistic parade proceeds Carnival Carnivalesque (Trade) by Rotterdam fashion designer Marga Weimans on Friday April 8, the three-day performance festival DO DISTURB in Palais de Tokyo in Paris. TENT presents the performance at the invitation of Palais de Tokyo.
Led by Vogue greatness Amber Vineyard (House of Vineyard/HipHopHuis) twenty Vogue dancers in costumes and monumental headdresses specially designed by Marga Weimans will open the event in which Palais de Tokyo presents the latest developments in contemporary performance. DO DISTURB is a festival in which cutting-edge music, dance, circus, performance and theatre come together and merge. TENT presents Marga Weimans' performance at the invitation of Palais de Tokyo. MoMA PS1 (New York), TATE Modern (London), Berghain (Berlin) and Matadero (Madrid) have previously been invited to DO DISTURB.
Carnival Carnivalesque (Trade)
The procession Carnival Carnivalesque (Trade) depicts the idea of ​​transformation, and shows the carnival as a moment in which the norm is abandoned and boundaries temporarily blur. Fashion, art, and performance come together in a total concept that is also influenced by Weiman's personal background and her views on the city dweller as an 'agent of change'. Carnival Carnivalesque (Trade) was developed on behalf of TENT for the street parade of the Rotterdam Summer Carnival in 2015, and was continued in TENT as part of the manifestation On The Other Side Of Reality.

After Marga Weimans' performance in the spring for Palais de Tokyo, TENT is participating with a project by Authentic Boys in David Bade's Summer Carnival Procession for the Kunsthal Rotterdam. Parallel to this, TENT is developing an international youth project together with TATE Modern that will travel to London in the autumn.
DO DISTURB takes place from April 8 to 10 at Palais de Tokyo.
